Community Garden Programs

Our community garden program empowers people of all ages and incomes to grow and eat healthy, organic, local food by providing access to land, resources, education, and administrative assistance. We support more than 20 Community Gardens through our Community Garden Network, Sharing Backyards, and innovative county and municipal partnerships, Parks for Produce and Green City Growers.

To Join a Community Garden

  1.             Participating in a community garden is different than gardening at home, so determine if it's right for you.

  2.             Read our Community Gardening Guidelines and Organic Standards.

  3.             Find a community garden near you. If there isn't one, consider starting a garden!

  4.             For our gardens, fill out an Online Plot Application or contact us and we will mail you an application.

  5.             If the garden is full, learn about how our waitilist works.
