Cooking Locally for the Holidays Workshop

Join Wasatch Community Gardens, Slow Food Utah, and Viking Cooking school for a workshop where local chef David Hammel will teach you how to take the bounty from your garden and create delicious seasonal meals that the whole family can enjoy.
At this demonstration style workshop we will talk about what you can purchase in the last weeks of the farmers market season, to use in making your holiday meals. Cooking locally is all about thinking ahead. This workshop will give you the information you need, to be ready for your holiday parties! And, at the end of the workshop we will all sit down to share the delicious meal that Chef David has created for us.

Local Leg of Lamb
Butternut Apple Soup
Roasted Potatoes with Tarragon and Garlic
The recipes and techniques you learn can be made at home, with what you can find at your local grocer, farmers market or straight from the garden!
