Celebrate the Spring Equinox while Gardening!

Date:
Saturday, March 20, 2010 - 1:00pm - 3:30pm
Location:

Join us as we celebrate the Spring Equinox and welcome the coming light of spring and summer. We will assist the gardens in waking up after a long winter by learning how to weed and prepare garden beds and paths, cut back herbs and edibles to make way for new growth, rake pathways, turn compost, start seeds in our greenhouse, direct seed spring greens and peas and outplant chard and other brassicas.

Please bring a water bottle, garden gloves if you have them and your friends and family. Fresh and healthy snacks will be provided.

This event takes place at both the Tomato Garden and the Fairpark Garden.
