Have you been an avid gardener for years, but are still looking for ways to be more self reliant? Have you been wanting to find ways to free yourself and your garden from seed scarcity? Or, are you just tired of growing a variety of vegetables that produces beautifully one year but the next year is a bust?
In this workshop you will learn the basics of harvesting and saving your home grown seeds. We will cover a variety of ways to extract seeds, methods to store seeds, and the proper timing to do it all.

Farmers and sustainable gardeners have been saving their seeds for years to produce better-tasting fruits and vegetables or to propagate plants that show more resistance to drought, blight and pests. Join Wasatch Community Gardens and Jane Jensen to learn how to select certain plants and vegetables to save seed from and how saving your own seed is a vital part of becoming more self sufficient. Registration Required.
