Winter Gardening Workshop

Date:
Saturday, October 23, 2010 - 10:00am - 12:00pm
Location:

Grateful Tomato Garden
800 S 600 E
Salt Lake City, UT

Salt Lake City is a great place to be a vegetable gardener. But, did you know that you can harvest all year round by using the proper season extenders? Or, that you can build up your garden beds and replenish the soil by growing cover crops and green manure, or by using different mulching techniques? Join Wasatch Community Gardens at our Grateful Tomato Garden to lear what to do in the garden late in the season to keep producing food all winter long. We will be talking about what to plant and when, what season extender is right for you, when and how to plant cover crop and green manure, sheet mulching, lasagna gardening, leaf mould and more!
