Who Gardens Here : Youth Program, Community Gardening Program and Volunteers
Events: Salsa Cook-Off (August)
Description:
The garden occupies more than 1/2 acre on the west side of Salt Lake City. Tomatoes, corn, pumpkins, pears, apples, peaches, strawberries, raspberries and a wide variety of herbs are regulars in this garden.
With so much space, we are able to grow a wide variety of fruits and vegetables in addition to those listed above.
Some favorites this year include okra, heirloom zuccini, artichokes, and our new herb spiral. We also have a rain barrel system that collects water for irrigation.
