Volunteer

Join us at our March Farm and Feed. We'll garden together for the first hour and a half and then harvest from the garden and create a feast to eat together!

Garden tasks will include weeding, turning compost, preparing garden beds and harvesting. This is a great way to learn more about gardening, meet great people and enjoy a healthy, fresh snack from the garden.

Urban Farming Apprenticeship

*Please note, Spring/Summer apprenticeship application deadline is April 8 (see below)!

Join us for a pizza party and envelope stuffing, sealing and addressing extravaganza!

Each year we send out a letter to all of our Wasatch Community Gardens supporters and we ask them to consider supporting our amazing programming with a financial contribution. Volunteers will stuff, seal and hand address hundreds of envelopes. We'll eat pizza, listen to music and engage in great conversation. This is always a fun evening!

Join us at the Historic Sandy Garden's annual Pumpkinfest! The Sandy community gardeners have spent the season tending their large pumpkin patch and will be selling rare and heirloom varieties of pumpkins and gourds as well as carving pumpkins.

Volunteer for this event and help with set up, kid's activities, cashiering and more!
+ Volunteers can choose their favorite pumpkin for free!

There are two shifts for this event. Please click on your preferred shift below.

Celebrate the autumnal equinox in the garden where we will put the gardens to rest for the season by harvesting, weeding, mulching and composting. We will follow up our hard work with good conversation, friends and delicious food. All volunteers who have participated in the gardens this season, as well as those waiting for the perfect moment to join us, are encouraged to attend. Bring your friends and family! Also bring a water bottle and garden gloves if you have them. Come hungry and ready to work!

Bring your family and friends and help us prepare for our annual Tomato Sandwich Party! We'll be doing general garden maintenance in anticipation of the 500 or so people who will be attending the Tomato Sandwich Party.

Please bring a water bottle and gloves if you have them!

Volunteer and help us celebrate our annual Tomato Sandwich Party. Volunteers will help with a variety of tasks including slicing beautiful heirloom tomatoes, making sandwiches, running kid's activities and helping out with tomato taste testing.

Volunteers will also have the chance to eat as many tomato sandwiches as they'd like and enjoy the party!
