Wasatch Community Gardens is pleased to present its Urban Garden and Farm Tour and we would love for you to be part of it!

When: Saturday, June, 22nd from 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

What we are looking for: Local urban homesteaders, gardeners, chicken keepers, farmers, DIY-ers committed to sustainability and willing to show off their traditional and innovative efforts.

Winter is here, but that doesn't mean you can't think about garden. We have plenty of workshops coming up this month that will help you kick your winter blues. So, escape the inversion and start thinking green at one of these educational events.

If you have been gardening for a little while, you know it’s not just about digging in the soil and having fun with dirt. There are a lot of things you may need or want in your garden that require some building skills.

You may think you know how to compost, but how effective of a composter are you? Organic gardens are all about soil - soil is what fuels your garden. It's what feeds your plants from the roots up, and creates healthy and delicious fruits and vegetables. The key to creating healthy soil is compost. Whether you are an avid gardener trying to incorporate organic methods into your veggie beds or new to the whole garden scene, this workshop will help you understand the science behind making compost.
