It is finally time! Our long awaited, much anticipated, urban food production egg-stravaganza is here! If you haven't heard  - Chicken Week has been spreading it's wings, and scope to include so much more than just chickens this year. This year we will have our first ever Urban Garden and Farm Week. We will be hosting a variety of events focused on urban homesteading, food growing, small-scale farming, livestock raising, bee keeping, water catching, chicken keeping and sustainable living in local backyards.

Welcome to this webform!  Please fill out the following info.

Hundreds of people have learned to prepare, dry, freeze, store, can, preserve and ferment their harvest through Wasatch Community Gardens' seasonal cooking, canning and preservation, and food storage workshops offered each year.

 Garden Nutrition

This section of the website is meant to provide information on the nutrition of some commonly grown fruits and vegetables in our area. We all enjoy the food from our gardens and know it's supposed to be good for us, but did you ever wonder what was actually in the food you grow? To find out, his is a good place to start.

Join Wasatch Community Gardens and Liberty Heights Fresh at the beautiful facilities of Viking Cooking School for our last workshop of the year. To celebrate, the chefs from Liberty Heights Fresh will be cooking up a feast, and talking about some delicious recipes that can be made from local, seasonal ingredients. At the end of the class we will dine on all the scrumptious dishes created during the workshop including leg of lamb, green beans, roasted squash, mashed potatoes and bread pudding.
