Fundraising Internship
Internship Description
Wasatch Community Gardens is looking for an individual interested in learning about nonprofit fundraising to assist WCG’s Development Director with a variety of fundraising tasks. This internship will focus on all aspects of our fundraising programs, including but not limited to: online fundraising, database and website management, individual donor outreach, fundraising events, and foundation/corporate grant proposals and reports.
A qualified applicant will be reliable and detailed-oriented, with a genuine interest in learning about the topic of fundraising in a small nonprofit organization.
Organizational Background
Wasatch Community Gardens is a community-based nonprofit that has served the Salt Lake County community for 20 years. Since our founding in 1989, we have provided opportunities for individuals to grow their own food in urban gardens. We also provide educational opportunities to youth and adults. Our mission is to empower people of all ages and incomes to grow and eat healthy, organic, local food. The Wasatch Community Gardens Network supports the growth of new and existing community gardens across the greater Salt Lake area through resources, education and networking opportunities.
Internship Details
Summer 2013. WCG requests 5 hours a week, minimum, and offers flexible scheduling. This is an unpaid internship.
