In this workshop you will learn the basics of harvesting and saving your home grown seeds. We will cover a variety of ways to extract seeds, methods to store seeds, and the proper timing to do it all.
Farmers and sustainable gardeners have been saving their seeds for years to produce better-tasting fruits and vegetables, or to propagate plants that show more resistance to drought, blight and pests. Join Wasatch Community Gardens to learn how to select plants and vegetables to save seed from and how saving your own seed is a vital part of becoming more self sufficient. Registration Required.
