Twas the night before Christmas, and all through the soil
Not an organism was stirring, despite gardeners' toils.
The beds were all covered in mulch with great care,
In hopes that worms and spiders soon would be there.
The cold weather crops were nestled all snug under covers,
While visions of sunshine and warmth were their druthers.
And the hen in her coop, working hard to stay cozy,
Pecking at chicken scratch wishing life were more rosy.
Our garden staff has come into our office in a pack,
To look at our programs and determine next year's tack.
We strive to get more people gardening and eating fresh food,
And all in our community we want to include.
At this time of year, we ask for you to assist,
In supporting the programs that give us all bliss.
Our events, our camps, our gardens, and workshops,
Need your love and support to keep them all tops.
We're grateful for anything that you can spare
To keep us producing and promoting healthy fare!
