2018 Garden Planning and Design

Registration is closed for this event

Starting a new veggie garden, or expanding an existing one? Don't know where to start? Join our discussion of the important factors to consider when designing your veggie garden!

We will gather together at the Grateful Tomato Garden on Saturday, February 17th to chat about the basics of vegetable garden planning, whether you've got just one small garden bed or a whole backyard to grow in.  Marybeth will go over topics such as bed location and orientation, raised beds, lasagna gardening, biointensive gardening, soil testing and amending, and choosing and planting warm and cool season crops.  Feel free to bring a sketch of your growing space so you can get feedback on your individual plans.
