Food is Culture

In this interactive workshop, together we will share and learn sustainable agricultural practices and the use of edible plants that are part of the milpa, such as quelites (Nahuatl word for edible plants), pig weed, purslane and other plants considered “weeds” in other territories. A community member will guide us on the culinary art by cooking together traditional and symbolic dishes that make up the gastronomic identity of the indigenous people of Mexico.
