2019 Join the Bat Squad!

Bat Week in an annual, international celebration of the role of bats in nature.  In this family workshop called "Join the Bat Squad," parents and children will learn all about bats as important garden friends and predators of night-flying insects.  We will learn from BLM Wildlife Biologist Emily Jensko how we can protect the bats living in our backyards and in our communities.  Class includes several fun activities for the kids and a tasting of a recipe made with bat-dependent ingredients!
