Even in winter, we can get a head start on the growing season with a whole range of warm and cool season crops. In this hands-on workshop, we will cover the basics of indoor seed starting, such as creating a planting calendar, making soil blocks, and how to create an indoor light rack. We will also discuss the techniques for growing microgreens, which are a great way to eat fresh baby greens year-round on salads, garnishes, and smoothies. And as an added bonus, each student will receive a set of free microgreen supplies to help get you growing at home, courtesy of True Leaf Market!
