“Let food be thy medicine” - Hippocrates
Kitchen herbs can be so versatile; they can spice up a dish, soothe a sore throat, or invoke a sense of relaxation. Come learn the beginning steps to expand your gardening knowledge to include growing herbs such as thyme, rosemary, lavender, and lemon verbena. We’ll cover different techniques for growing, harvesting, drying, storing, and most importantly using these wonderful plants. Our instructor, Kate Galarza, is the former Youth Program Director at Wasatch Community Gardens and an herbalist. She will demonstrate in class some easy ways to incorporate kitchen medicine into your life.
