This workshop is back by popular demand after a 3-year hiatus. Liz Hamilton will cover topics such as choosing the most effective pruning tools and will demonstrate how to properly prune fruit trees to maximize their health and productivity. This workshop will be held at Wasatch Community Gardens’ Grateful Tomato Garden, where students will have an opportunity to work with multiple types of fruit tree: pear, Asian pear, apple, plum, and apricot!
Please dress for working in the garden, and bring gloves, a hat, sunscreen, water bottle and pruners and/or loppers if you have them. This class will be held even in mildly unpleasant or chilly weather, but we will cancel via email the day before if it's expected to be a total downpour or snow storm. Let's hope for beautiful weather! Let's get pruning!
