2021 On Demand Webinar: Sowing Fall Crops with Season Extension Bonus

Registration is closed for this event

Fresh lettuce and mizuna in November?  Rainbow carrots and crisp baby turnips at Thanksgiving?  Aphid-free kale in November?  You bet!

One of the best-kept gardening secrets is that you can harvest luscious and healthy fall crops in October, November and beyond with just a little planning and know-how.  At this webinar-based workshop, students will learn the basics of fall planting, including which crops tend to do best during the shortening days of autumn, how to get your cool season vegetable seeds to germinate in the heat of late July or early August, how to boost the plants' productivity throughout the fall, and how to extend your harvest season into the dead of winter with low-tunnels, hoop houses, and cold frames.

NOTE:  This workshop is being offered as a previously-recorded webinar using a platform called Demio.

The date/time of this webinar is just a placeholder required by our system.  Once you register, you will be able to watch the recording on demand at any time convenient to you!

Registered students will receive a webinar link immediately after registering as part of your email confirmation.  If you do not receive an email confirmation immediately, please check your SPAM folder.

The presentation is 2 hours in length followed by a brief Q&A.  A PDF of the slides is available upon request by emailing marybeth@wasatchgardens.org.

Tuition for this recorded webinar is $20
Discounted rates available to community gardeners with WCG or the WCG Network.
