2022 On Demand Webinar: Get Ready to Sow Fall Crops!

Registration is closed for this event

This workshop is being offered as a recorded version of a live webinar that was offered in July 2021.  The webinar is hosted on the Demio hosting platform (similar to Zoom).

The class date of September 30 is just a place holder required by our system.  When you register, you will be able to watch the recording on demand at any time you choose!

Description:  This recorded webinar lasts 2 hours 10 minute and covers the why, how, what, and when of planting your fall crops.  Would you like to harvest fresh lettuce and mizuna in November?  Would you like to harvest rainbow carrots and crisp baby turnips for a fall celebration? We'll show you how!

One of the best-kept gardening secrets is that you can harvest luscious and healthy fall crops in October, November and beyond with just a little planning and know-how.  In this recorded webinar-based workshop, students will learn the basics of fall planting, including which crops tend to do best during the shortening days of autumn, how to get your cool season vegetable seeds to germinate in the heat of late July or early August, how to boost the plants' productivity throughout the fall, and how to extend your harvest season into the dead of winter with low-tunnels, hoop houses, and cold frames.

NOTE:  Registered students will receive the link to the webinar recording in the email confirmation.

This workshop is $25
Discounted rates available to community gardeners with WCG or the WCG Network.
