2022 Webinar: What's Wrong with My Tomatoes? The 22 Most Common Problems Across the Wasatch Front

Registration is closed for this event

In this no-nonsense and fast-paced webinar, students will learn how to identify and troubleshoot the top 22 problems with tomato fruits and plants that we face here in northern Utah.  We'll cover the most common diseases you're likely to deal with along the Wasatch Front as well as the insect pests that love to "bug" our tomatoes.  We will also cover a whole range of other problems that can result in no fruit, just a few fruit, or blemished fruit.

New this year is a section in the webinar about the so-called "tomato-pocalypse" that has affected so many home gardeners and farmers across the Wasatch Front this year.  We'll review what's currently known about this condition that has killed off so many of our beloved tomato plants.

The presentation will be about 2 hrs 30-45 minutes with Q&A at the end.  Students are invited to use the chat feature to participate and ask questions.

A handful of these issues are covered each year in our on-demand webinar called "Growing Great Tomatoes: Cultivating for Health and Productivity," but in "What's Wrong with My Tomatoes," we cover many more, really allowing you as a tomato gardener to up your game and successfully troubleshoot most of the issues you're likely to encounter growing this popular crop.  Lots of photos are included in the presentation, as well as tips for additional support and resources.

Also, if you're new to diagnosing and managing garden problems, consider registering for our on demand webinar, "What's Wrong with My Veggies?  Basic Organic Pest Management," to learn the whole process of pest and disease prevention, identification, and management.

NOTE:  This workshop will be offered as a live webinar using a webinar hosting platform called Demio (similar to Zoom).  Registered students will receive in their emailed registration confirmation a link to register with Demio and receive the join link for class.  Because the link is sent immediately to registered students, we cannot issue refunds once registration is complete.
