Beginning Organic Gardening

Would you like to grow your own fresh, fabulous, organic veggies? Come to this fun and fast-paced workshop to learn the basics of organic vegetable gardening. We'll talk a bit about biodiversity in the garden and the importance of attracting pollinators to your vegetable garden, and we will also touch on site selection and design, soil basics, soil testing and amendments, cool- vs. warm-season crops, watering basics, and diagnosing and treating problems in the garden. For each topic covered in this introductory class, we will offer more in-depth workshops throughout the season, so please sign up for our newsletter for the latest on workshop topics and dates!

Please note: This free introductory workshop will also be presented on Wednesday, February 22nd (at Sprague Branch Library) and on Saturday, March 11th (at Sweet Branch Library) to accommodate everyone who'd like to attend!
