Week of June 7th - At Home in the Garden

The garden is home to plants and animals alike! Discover what makes a good habitat for plants, animals, and people, and see how we're all connected. Topics may include: plant needs, animal needs, ecosystems, plant adaptations and more. Registration deadline is June 3rd. Click here to register.

Week of June 14th - Taste the Adventure

Grow your taste for adventure through food challenges, scavenger hunts, and skill-building. Topics may include: map making, ecosystems, taste tests, and more. Registration deadline is June 10th. Click here to register.

Week of June 21st - Pollinator Pals - NEW in 2021

Pollinators are a special group of insects and animals that are essential for a healthy ecosystem. Learn about these important creatures, the flowers they love, and how to be a pal to pollinators! Topics may include: flowers, native pollinators, life cycles, pollinator-dependent recipes, and more. Registration deadline is June 17th. Click here to register.

Week of June 28th - The Magic of Nature

Explore the supernatural properties of plants while crafting botanical potions and performing magical experiments. Topics may include: herbal remedies, mythical plant lore, dream pillows, edible flowers, and more. Registration deadline is June 24th. Click here to register.

Week of July 12th - Garden Detectives

How do plants move around? Is a tomato a fruit? What do we use plants for? Put on your detective hat and get ready to investigate the world around you! Topics may include: seed dispersal, scavenger hunts, plant anatomy, and more. Registration deadline is July 8th. Click here to register.

Week of July 19th - Rooted in Tradition - NEW in 2021

Food and nature play an important part in every human culture no matter where you look. Learn about a variety of cultural traditions from around the world and celebrate Latino Conservation Week by exploring people's evolving relationships with food and nature. Topics may include: food and nature celebrations, exploring family traditions, WCG/Artes de México en Utah's Sabores de Mi Patria program, and more. Registration deadline is July 15th. Week of July 26th - Bug Buddies

Bugs are an important part of a garden’s ecosystem, so let’s get on their level! Study some of the most common helpers and pests that we see in the great outdoors. Topics may include: habitats, decomposers, vermicomposting, insect anatomy, and more. Registration deadline is July 22nd. Click here to register.

Week of August 2nd - Food Network

Have you ever wondered where your food comes from, or how it gets to you? Investigate the systems that bring food from the farm to your plate and celebrate National Farmers Market Week! Topics may include: seasonal eating, local food systems, urban/rural agriculture, food miles, and more. Registration deadline is July 29th. Click here to register.

Week of August 9th - Life in the gARTen

Gardens and the natural world have inspired artists, scientists, and chefs throughout the ages. Express your own creativity with a week of activities all about engaging with the beauty we can find and make from nature.
