If you’ve been wondering what’s going on behind those shipping containers at 743 W 1300 S, your wait is over. Join us for an open house at Wasatch Community Gardens’ (WCG) new City Farm on 1300 South! For the past year, WCG has been busy building out the farm after it was transplanted across town. The site serves as home to WCG’s farm-based Job Training Program for women facing or experiencing homelessness. It also serves as the site that grows 45,000 organic veggie seedlings for our Spring Plant Sale and literal tons of healthy, local food that is donated back to community. Countless opportunities to volunteer, to partner, and to get to know our new neighbors abound, and we would love to say hello and show you around!
Stop by the farm anytime on Wednesday, October 8th, from 5:30pm to 7:30pm to join us! We'll be offering farm tours, light refreshments, games, and live music.
This event is free and family-friendly. Please leave pets at home, as it is a functioning farm. Service animals welcome.
