WCG doesn’t just grow vegetables—we grow unity within commUNITY and sow culture within agriCULTURE. And we can’t do it without you! YOU are the essential ingredient that fuels our recipe for impact.

As we continue our pursuit of healthy food access for all, your year-end gift is a critical investment in our life-changing work toward food equity.

“[WCG’s program] helped me believe in myself again, love myself again…I wish there would be more programs like this throughout the state!” - Carrie, a farm-based Job Training Program alumna, also known as “Farmily,” who now has her own small farm business

Please enjoy this Sowing AgriCULTURE video for a glimpse into the personal stories (like Carrie’s) contributing to our vision for the future, and leave your personal handprint in the soil with a donation that grows our collective impact!

DONATE TODAY!

As we approach year 4 of our ambitious 5-Year Growth Plan, your donations enable us to deliver immediate community impact in our pursuit of healthy food access for all. Indeed, it has been a busy 2025 across our six programs!

  • Our Job Training Program’s Green Team completed its first full growing season at City Farm on 1300 South, growing thousands of pounds of food for low-income families and individuals who might otherwise be nutrition-insecure.
  • Our Community Garden Program opened a new garden in Rose Park in partnership with Rose Park Neighborhood Center and Salt Lake City—the 19th site under WCG management.
  • Our Youth & School Garden Program is now offering sliding scale camp fees (including free admission for extremely low-income families) to increase the financial accessibility of our program.
  • Our Advocacy & Justice Program kicked off an accessibility audit of all WCG-managed growing spaces to ensure that our physical spaces support healthy food access for all.
  • Our Education Program diversified its offerings through new instructors and topics and launched new initiatives including dry farming research, expanding access to agricultural knowledge.
  • Our Volunteer Program engaged groups and individuals in more diverse ways than ever before.

Other Ways to Give

Give Through Your Workplace

Each year, billions of dollars are donated to charities nationwide through employer matching donations and workplace giving campaigns. Workplace giving is an easy and efficient way to make tax-deductible donations to charities through payroll contributions.

Ask your employer how you can sign up to give to WCG through payroll deductions, and don’t forget to ask if they match your charitable giving!

Pals of the Plant Sale

Wasatch Community Gardens' Spring Plant Sale is one of our longest standing signature events that brings our community together for access to locally grown plants and to support our mission to empower people to grow and eat healthy, organic, local food. The 2025 Spring Plant Sale is on Saturday, May 10, and we offer early access to shopping the sale the night before. Our most enthusiastic shoppers at WCG's Spring Plant Sale - those who spent $150 or more at the previous year's Spring Plant Sale - and donors who make a one-time gift of $150 or more or a "perennial" monthly gift of $10 or more, are our Pals of the Plant Sale, or PoPS! If you do not already fall into this category we invite you to join PoPS by making a donation today.

In addition to an opportunity to shop before the general public at PoPS' Night, Friday, May 9, stay tuned for special PoPS perks as a token of appreciation for your support. This will include a special event invitation and we look forward to helping you make the most of the plant sale as you prepare to grow and eat your own healthy, organic, local food! Whether you are already a member of PoPS or make a gift today, stay tuned for your invitation and more details about PoPS perks soon!
