School Garden Resources
Our School Garden Program focuses on the three important fundamentals of Space, Leadership and Programming. Remember: installing a garden is easy but sustaining it is a different story. There are many different forms a school garden can take depending on what works for your community!
Field Trips/Group Visits
Field Trips are offered to K-6 school groups, tailored to fit relevant SEEd standards. Groups who do not fit the traditional K-6 school group demographic are welcome to come for a Group Visit, which is a more flexible option for teens, afterschool groups and non-school groups to visit the garden. Both programs include a snack, a tour of the teaching garden, and a relevant activity.
School Garden Leadership Network
Available to educators, administrators, and community members that have an interest in school gardens, this network allows members to connect, receive guidance and resources from WCG, know what other school garden communities are doing, and dialogue on school garden topics.
Classroom/Garden Visits
Classroom/Garden Visits are an option for schools or partners who have utilized our other resources and are interested in deepening their students' understanding and involvement in the garden/garden curriculum. Due to capacity, we are limited to offering one classroom visit per school year per partner.

Professional Development Workshops
We offer Professional Development workshops for educators or community members who are interested in increasing the sustainability and success of their garden programs.
Recurring Partner Programming
Youth Garden Club: WCG partners with different social services organizations to provide seasonal weekly programming in a garden setting including a snack and educational activity.
Family Garden Gatherings: WCG and a family advocate invite families to learn and connect through culture in foods, healthy living, and lifelong garden learning in their school garden.
Other Repeated Programming: Consistent youth programming with afterschool programs, school courses like Rowland Hall's Climate Curriculum, and other partners.
