2024 Fruit Tree Pruning & Care (Additional Afternoon Session)

Description

The original class on the morning of Saturday March 9 from 10am-12pm is now full and has a waitlist. Due to this high demand, we are offering an additional session of this class in the afternoon the same day, from 2-4pm.

Pruning helps to ensure that your fruit trees stay healthy, manageable and produce high quality fruit. In this workshop, we will discuss pruning tools, goals and techniques, equipping you with the skills and knowledge to properly prune different types of fruit trees. Participants will observe demonstrations and practice pruning on several varieties of both pomme (apple, pear, quince) and stone (apricot, plum, NectaPlum, Aprium) fruit trees. Throughout the class, we will share tips for scouting pests and diseases as well as seasonal care practices that students can implement in their own community or home gardens.
