Wasatch Community Gardens has been working with municipalities to install and manage community gardens since 1989. WCG recognizes the important role of community support in determining the need and desire of local residents to grow and eat organic, healthy + delicious food through community gardening. This petition will inform Bingham Creek Regional Park’s Master Plan in order to gauge whether there is support for a garden in the proposed site and how people would like to be involved in the space. The Park Authority Board has expressed interest in developing a community garden at Bingham Creek Regional Park if there is sufficient community interest. Bingham Creek Regional Park (10004 S 4800 W, South Jordan, UT 84009) is a 160 acre park in the heart of South Jordan and the largest public park in the State. The exact location of the community garden will be determined by input from the community and the Park Authority Board should the project be approved.
