2024 Sowing Spring Crops (Additional Afternoon Session)

Description

The original class on the morning of Saturday March 30 from 10am-12pm is now full and has a waitlist. Due to this high demand, we are offering an additional session of this class in the afternoon the same day, from 2-4pm.

Lettuce, radishes and peas, oh my!  In this hands-on workshop, you will learn the basics of planting cool season crops including assorted greens, root crops, and peas.  As we work together, we'll discuss when to plant, seed and plant spacing and depth, seed planting techniques, and determining harvest dates.  We will also explore how to extend your early growing season, with low tunnels and extremely cold-hardy crops like claytonia, tatsoi and mizuna.
