2018 Tomato Pruning and Trellising (Working Lab)

Description

Part of our year-long series of tomato-related workshops, this hands-on working lab will introduce students to a variety of trellising and caging techniques for indeterminate (vining-type) tomatoes.  We'll be trellisiing a 34' row of slicing and cherry tomatoes and reviewing the how's and why's of bottom-pruning, sucker-pruning and top-pruning.  These techniques are relatively simple, extremely affordable and an effective way to increase the health and productivity of your tomato plants.

NOTE:  This workshop will be held outdoors subject to the weather.  Please check your email the day or two before class for an update, especially if the weather looks iffy. No refunds will be issued for cancellations received within 24 hours of the class.  If you wish to apply for a reduced-tuition scholarship for this workshop, please email Marybeth at This email address is being protected from spambots.
