Community Listening Session

Description

The Advocacy & Justice Program is conducting a listening tour to gather insights from a diverse range of community members about our programs and sites. These conversations, held at our new farm site, our campus gardens, and across the community, have focused on Race, Equity, Accessibility, Diversity, and Inclusion (READI). Inviting our community to tell us about the successes, challenges, collaborations, and barriers they face related to food justice and food systems is one of many ways WCG is working to ensure our offerings remain reflective of what our community needs in the current moment.

We want to hear from you!! Whether you are a grower, consumer, or just lover of food, your voice is important. Join us for a community listening session where members of the public can gather to share their experiences, perspectives, and ideas about how to make our food community more inclusive and accessible for all. We are excited to learn from you and hope that you will leave feeling heard, valued, and more deeply connected.

We will gather at WCG's Campus (692 E 800 S, SLC). The majority of our time will be spent in small groups discussing specific topics such as:

  • Land Access
  • Food Justice & Access
  • Food Education
  • Community Resources

Refreshments will be provided including beverages and light food. Click here for more information on what accommodations we currently offer, including parking for people with disabilities.
