Adrienne Cachelin is a Professor with the Environmental and Sustainability Studies Program at the University of Utah. Her professional interests are rooted in environmental justice, food sovereignty, and sustainability education. Her approach to research is rooted in critical participatory action. Adrienne also serves as the SPARC Environmental Justice Lab director. In this role, she facilitates interdisciplinary community-based environmental justice action research with an interdisciplinary team of community, faculty, and student researchers.
Adrienne is currently working on the second edition of a cookbook ethnography project and looking into how food-related mutual aid projects can advance community resilience. She is excited to join the Wasatch Community Garden team. She enjoys growing and eating food, being outdoors, and spending time with her family pups.
