Transplanted from one desert to another - Cuyo, Argentina to Salt Lake City - Levana is happy to join the Wasatch Community Gardens family as a Youth Educator. She believes in food security through sustainable growing practices, soil remediation, landrace seed stewardship and food processing as means of community building. Levana has over a decade of experience as an educator, teaching in multilingual and multicultural charter schools, non-profit organizations, and after-school programs. She loves teaching children and has fun doing it. Levana is passionate about music, culture, and nature. She is a multidisciplinary artist as well as an MC for a local community radio station. Her favorite things include: swimming in alpine lakes, exploring deserts, and cooking food freshly harvested from her garden.
