Kate Carlisle-Kesling is a partner and commercial real estate attorney who handles development, investment, financing, acquisition, entitlements, lease out, management, and operation of real estate. She has led transactions involving commercial, industrial, retail, mixed use centers, office buildings, hotels and resorts, restaurants, medical clinics, senior living centers, multifamily developments, condominiums, renewable projects, geothermal, oil and gas projects, and master planned communities. Kate finds deep peace in getting dirty in the garden.
Joining Wasatch Community Gardens' board takes her back to her roots in Ohio, when she became involved in the local food and food justice movements around 2003. She has instructed adults and children alike on many gardening/community/urban garden topics. She is passionate about connecting community with local growers and providing healthy, affordable, fair, and green food access. Her favorite foods to grow are ground cherries, rainbow chard, and jalapeno peppers.
