Advocacy & Justice Program Director
Hi everyone! My name is Carmen, and I’m thrilled to be joining Wasatch Community Gardens as the Advocacy & Justice Program Director. I hold a B.S. in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology and a B.A. in Environmental Science from the University of California, Santa Cruz—go Banana Slugs! Before joining WCG, I worked as a Program Manager supporting student organizations focused on climate advocacy, where I collaborated on a variety of environmental campaigns. I loved working alongside passionate individuals committed to building a more sustainable and just world. Outside of work I enjoy hiking, creating community spaces, and learning new things! I’m excited to bring that same collaborative spirit to this community, connect with local experts, and begin organizing with all of you.
