2024 Get Ready to Sow Fall Crops

Date
Jan 01, 2024 - Dec 31, 2024
Location
On-Demand Webinar

Description

One of the best-kept gardening secrets is that you can harvest luscious and healthy fall crops in October, November and beyond with just a little planning and know-how. This class will cover the basics of fall planting, including which crops tend to do best during the shortening days of autumn, how to get your cool season vegetable seeds to germinate in the heat of summer and how to boost productivity throughout the fall. As a special bonus, we will also discuss how to extend your harvest season into the dead of winter with low-tunnels, hoop houses, and cold frames.

NOTE: The content in this webinar overlaps about 75% with the content in our in-person class, "Let's Sow Fall Crops." Don't know which one to choose? The working lab is great if you want a hands-on experience in our teaching garden, while the webinar is nice if you would prefer to learn the information on your own time (and as a special bonus, the webinar will also discuss how to extend your harvest season into the dead of winter with low-tunnels, hoop houses, and cold frames). And if your budget allows, you can take both versions of the class to really solidify the concepts! Click here to visit our Educational Calendar to see all of our offerings!
