2022 What's Wrong with my Veggies: Organic Pest Management Basics

Description

Black ends on your tomatoes got you down?  Holes in the leaves on your eggplants?  Sunken spots on your peppers?  What's a gardener to do??

Let's get together virtually in this live webinar to learn how to apply some simple strategies now and throughout the rest of the growing season to increase your chances of having healthier and more productive vegetable plants in your garden this year and in future years.  We'll review the specific steps you can take to correctly identify and manage virtually any pest or disease that might crop up in your veggie garden, and you'll learn about a host of free resources that are available to help you figure out the mysteries that plague your garden.

This presentation-based webinar is a perfect introduction to our hands-on working lab, "Organic Pest Management Diagnostic Working Lab" that will be held on Wednesday, August 10th from 6:30 to 8:30 pm (separate registration required).  In order to register for the and attend the Diagnostic Working Lab, you must have already registered for this Basic Organic Pest Management webinar, since the concepts and terminology taught in the webinar will be relied upon in the working lab.

Per WCG policy, masks are required to be indoors by all staff and visitors when the county is experiencing high COVID-19 community levels.  At this time, Salt Lake County is experiencing high community levels.  In order to avoid all students and the instructor needing to wear masks, the course has been transitioned to a virtual event.

Please remember: This course, "What's Wrong with My Veggies: Organic Pest Management," is a required pre-requisite for the August 10th companion class called, "Organic Pest Management Diagnostic Working Lab."  Only those individuals who take the August 3rd indoor class on the basics will be allowed to register for and attend the August 10th Diagnostic Working Lab.
