During the months of June, July and August, campers will explore the Wasatch Community Gardens' Campus gardens, prepare and eat healthy foods, and make endless connections between themselves, their communities and the natural world.
2026 Summer Camp Schedule
June 8th - June 11th: Sprouts Explorers Camp at Wasatch Community Gardens
Sprouts Explorers at Wasatch Community Gardens! 9 am - 2 pm (Ages 6-9)
This camp serves as an introduction to summer camp for youth in historically underserved demographics aged 6-9. We’ll be exploring the garden, learning about the things growing and living there, cooking and eating tasty snacks, and having fun in the sun!
This camp will be using an intentional, partner-based registration process.
June 15th - June 18th: Seedlings Explorers Camp at Wasatch Community Gardens
Seedlings Explorers Camp at Wasatch Community Gardens! 9 am - 4 pm (Ages 9-12)
This camp serves as an introduction to summer camp for youth in historically underserved demographics aged 9-12. We’ll be exploring the garden, learning about the things growing and living there, cooking and eating tasty snacks, and having fun in the sun! NO CAMP FRIDAY, JUNE 19TH TO OBSERVE THE JUNETEENTH HOLIDAY.
This camp will be using an intentional, partner-based registration process.
June 22nd - June 26th with UMOCA
Creative Crossroads Camp with UMOCA! 9 am - 4 pm (5th-6th grade)
Artists often take inspiration from the natural world, drawing from the beauty around them to create beautiful things themselves. We’ll be using the garden as a canvas, a source of inspiration and materials, and a gallery setting throughout this week of camp. Your young artists will experience the magic of the garden in the mornings here at WCG and let their creativity lead the way in the afternoons at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art. Friday afternoon, campers' art will be on display in the garden during pickup, so make sure you block out time to take a stroll through their gallery!

June 29th - July 2nd with Clark Planetarium
Plants and Planets with Clark Planetarium! 9 am - 4 pm (5th-6th grade)
Calling all future astronauts: pack your enthusiasm and imagination, we're headed to space! Join us for an out of this world summer camp in partnership with Clark Planetarium this summer. Participants will spend mornings at Wasatch Community Gardens learning about photosynthesis, building solar ovens, and growing plants in planetary conditions, while afternoons will be full of immersive outer space experiences at Clark Planetarium. In addition to expert presentations and in-depth shows, participants will learn about planets beyond our Solar System, extract DNA, and investigate the role of plants in human missions to the Moon and beyond. NO CAMP FRIDAY, JULY 3RD.

July 13th - July 17th with Art Heart SLC
gARTening Camp with Art Heart SLC! 9 am - 4 pm (K-2nd grade)
Art and gardening go hand in hand. Both are creative, grounding and deeply fulfilling. At this camp, your child will explore the arts in the garden, developing a living relationship with creativity through nature, hands-on art, planting, games, culinary arts and playful outdoor exploration.
Art Heart SLC is excited to collaborate with Wasatch Community Gardens to bring together art and gardening for a joyful, enriching summer experience where creativity truly grows.
Drop off at WCG Campus. Monday and Wednesday pickup at Art Heart SLC. Tuesday, Thursday, Friday pickup at WCG Campus.

July 20th - July 23rd: Farm to Table Camp at Wasatch Community Gardens
Farm to Table Camp at Wasatch Community Gardens! 9 am - 4 pm (Ages 9-12)
It’s an essential skill to be able to cook for yourself, and we believe it’s very important to know where your ingredients come from and how they grow! In this camp, campers will explore, play and learn in our campus gardens all week while developing planting, harvesting, and cooking skills! Drop off and pick up at WCG campus. NO CAMP FRIDAY, JULY 24TH.

Camp registration fees vary by partner and camp. WCG is committed to making our summer camps more financially accessible, so many of our camps utilize a sliding-scale fee structure based on household income. What should my child bring to summer camp?
We suggest campers bring a water bottle, good walking shoes, sun protective clothing, and sunscreen, if they can. WCG can provide all necessary items for campers who need them. The most important thing for your camper to bring is their excitement and curiosity!
