Wasatch Community Gardens - Youth Garden Club

Youth Garden Club

Youth Garden Club is a recurring partner program that works with youth ages 4-12. WCG and our partners host weekly classes both on our teaching campus and at partner sites, aimed at empowering youth to make healthy choices for themselves, their communities, and the environment. Through hands-on experience in growing and preparing healthy, local, organic food, youth experience the connection between the environment, local food systems, and themselves. Participating youth learn garden, cooking, and social-emotional skills, and are often able to take garden produce home to share with their families.
